Richard's love of story has taken him from Yemen to the Arctic, writing about his adventures for British newspapers and international magazines. He helps make big brands accessible to their customers through lifestyle and wellbeing blogs, and also writes forum theatre pieces to animate problem situations in the workplace, be it for SMEs or global corporations like Shell and Pearson Publishing.
Aside of his business writing he's won international awards for The Sunday Times in his work as a travel journalist, and regularly contributes to The Telegraph, The Independent, Elle, Wanderlust and The Sunday Times, on family trips, wellbeing, wildlife and adventure. He has also written some 20 '+' travel guides for Lonely Planet.
In 2017 he co-wrote a book about how to handle tricky conversations, an illustrated children's story, The Dragon Tree, and a narrative non-fiction book based on his experiences in the Guatemalan civil war in the early 1990s.
Having co-written ex Special Forces and TV celebrity, Ant Middleton's one-man sold out UK tour, he is currently directing it.
